I enjoyed my sample of Two Brewers Classic Cask Strength Single Malt Release 10. It has an ABV of 58%.
Nose
The nose is malty, but the malt has an earth tone that I've never smelled before. It is honeyed, like manuka honey. There is also a slight leather and a pleasant musty note as well as apples.
Palate
The palate has red apples and green bananas early on the palate. The banana disappears as it travels, and then the crisp red gala apple remains. It is golden and wheated with cereal and a flavour that is close to granola.
I would describe the top notes as earthen malt and manuka honey, with the mid or secondary notes as red gala apples and golden wheat. The finish is medium to long with a lingering peppery spiciness. After about 30 minutes in the glass, I get some clove and spices on the nose.
Overall this was a wonderful whisky, just like anything from Two Brewers this would've been a worthy purchase, but release 10 was sold out before I was even aware of Two Brewers as a prominent distillery in Canada. Today, I would describe them as the pre-eminent Single Malt distiller in Canada. They have four different releases, the latest of which is their special finishes release number 44. They also have Peated and Innovative along with the Classic release reviewed in this article. I tend to gravitate to the cask-strength releases from Two Brewers a little more than the others, but I have not had a bad release yet. I am looking forward to reviewing more releases from Two Brewers.

Thank you very much to the person that provided the sample. You know who you are.
